Use the recordings below to build up your "chanting dictionary" of Torah ta'am (trop) model tunes for y'TIV phrases according to the tradition presented in "Chanting the Hebrew Bible" by Dr. Joshua Jacobson as chanted by Cantor Rebecca Blumenfeld.

 
Words punctuated with y’TIV are always accented on the first syllable.
Y’TIV and mahPAKH (see combinations 12-17) may look alike, but y’TIV is always placed before the first letter of a word, whereas, mahPAKH is placed under the first letter of the accented syllable.
