r'VIa (41-46)

Use the recordings below to build up your "chanting dictionary" of Torah ta'am (trop) model tunes for r'VIa phrases according to the tradition presented in "Chanting the Hebrew Bible" by Dr. Joshua Jacobson as chanted by Cantor Rebecca Blumenfeld.

MuNACH-l’garMEH is a double-symbol ta’am with the munNACH under the first letter of the accented syllable and a vertical line following the word. It occurs only in a muNACH-r’VIa phrase. Sometimes you’ll see a vertical line after words punctuated with other te’amim. In this case, it’s called a paSEK, and it is meant to indicate a slight emphatic pause in the reading.
