As with pashTA, zarKA and seGOL are always placed over the last letter of the words they punctuate. If the word is not accented on the last syllable, then the zarKA or seGOL is doubled by placing another one over the first letter of the accented syllable, such as in the words a‑NACH‑nu and mitz‑RA‑yim.
