In certain prescribed years in the Jewish calendar, Parashat P'kudei is read in combination with Parashat Vayak‑hel. This presents some challenges for the triennial system. Suffice it to say, there are six possible triennial patterns that can affect which verses are read when Parashat P'kudei is combined with Parashat Vayak‑hel.
