Haftarah (Ashkenazim):

If following the Ashkenazim tradition, use the following decision tree to determine which Haftarah to chant. Or...you can consult your community's leadership.

If Parashat Acharei Mot is being read on Shabbat HaGadol, then chant Haftarat Shabbat HaGadol.
If Parashat Acharei Mot is being read on Erev Rosh Hodesh, then chant Haftarat Erev Rosh Hodesh.
If Parashat K'doshim is being read on Rosh Hodesh, then chant Amos 9:7-15.
If none of the special circumstances outlined above apply, then some communities chant Amos 9:7-15.
and some communities chant Ezekiel 22:1-19.
Haftarah (Sephardim):

PLEASE NOTE!!

In certain prescribed years in the Jewish calendar, Parashat Acharei Mot is read in combination with Parashat K'doshim. This presents some challenges for the triennial system. Suffice it to say, that there are four possible triennial patterns that can affect which verses in Parashat Acharei Mot are read when it is read separately from Parashat K'doshim. Refer to the Hebcal.com web-site to determine the current triennial pattern.

That said, CantorEducator.com will try to keep the current triennial pattern at the top of this web page. The following list of triennial patterns shows the other recognized possibilities in the USCJ triennial system.

Questions and concerns about this web page should be directed to Hazzan Linda Sue Sohn.

Eisenberg Triennial tradition vs. Cohen Triennial modification
...Because the triennial schedule for parashah pairs, such as Acharei Mot / K'doshim, is not complicated enough...

Now, there is a makhloket (rabbinic disagreement) regarding the third year of a together‑together‑separate triennial pattern. Confused? Most understandable if you are!

Suffice it to say that the "Cohen modification" aliyot designations below are what you'll find in the "Luach Hashanah" published annually by Rabbi Miles. B Cohen and Leslie Rubin. The Eisenberg Triennial aliyot designations below are the original recommended readings.

The bottom line...you should consult your community's leadership to determine which aliyot you'll be reading in Triennial Year 3.

Enjoy!!
