In certain prescribed years in the Jewish calendar, Parashat Vayeilekh is read in combination with Parashat Nitzavim. This presents some challenges for the triennial system. Suffice it to say, there are several possible triennial patterns that can affect when Parashat Vayeilekh is read together with or separately from Parashat Nitzavim. It should be further noted that Parashat Vayeilekh is read in its entirety when read separately from Parashat Nitzavim. Refer to the Hebcal.com web-site to determine the current triennial pattern.
